Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985 in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. Felix graduated from her high school education and was signed to an agreement for Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic prize at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s which set a new junior world record. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in the 200m. The following year, she was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently in the top 3 throughout her races in the Olympics held during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
