Aisha Jamila Hinds is a known American actor. She is known for the roles she played on the TV show The Shield, and True Blood. Since her introduction in 2003, she has demonstrated her range in the role of actress with amazing performances on TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 as well as Under the Dome. Her character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first to catch her attention. Her appearance in the biographical movie All the Way as the Women's Right advocate Fannie Lou Hammer brought her into the limelight to the attention of the general public. Hind was also praised for her role as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's classic drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the series for a new season. Hind just finished filming the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The movie is scheduled to release mid-2019. Her father Krishnaraj worked as an Army scientist. He died 18 March 2017. Mother Vrinda lives at home. Her older brother is Aditya Rai who works as an engineer for the Merchant Navy. Her older brother, Aditya Rai coproduced and cowrote Dil Ka Rishta along with their mother. Arya Vidya Mandir was the high school where Bachchan attended when her family relocated to Mumbai. Her intermediate studies were completed in Jai Hind College for a period of time before enroling at D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. She scored 90% in her H.S.C. exams. As an adolescent, she spent her time studying music and classical dance for a long period of five time. Her favorite subject was Zoology. Bachchan was studying architectural studies when she was elected Miss World in 1994. Her title brought her to the forefront of modeling. in 2003 she was offered high-paying jobs at PepsiCo Inc. as well as Vogue magazine. She also was offered a contract to be model for L'Oreal Paris spokesmodel. In 1997, she played two highly-acclaimed roles: Iruvar and Aur pyaar ho gaya. Bachchan was the symbol of New Bollywood with these films that defied Bollywood's basic structure. In her harrowing portrayal of the jilted lover Paro In Devdas (2002) the film that was one among the hottest Bollywood films, and also the first to be shown in the Cannes Film Festival Bachchan cemented her status as the newest Queen of Bollywood. She received praise for the role she played in Chokher Bali (2003) an emotional drama based upon RabindranathTagore's book. In the same year, she was appointed as the first Indian actress on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan played the role of Bride and Prejudice by Gurinder Chadha. This is a musical and dance version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan did a great job bringing her glamour and shine to her first major English film. Her return to Bollywood for the hit Dhoom: 2 (2006) prior to releasing Provoked The Story of Provoked True Story (2006) in English. In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan who is a frequent co-star, and child of Bollywood famous Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage which brought together two of the most influential personalities in India.
